Description:

Description for B&B:

Welcome to La Vieille Distillerie, a beautifully restored Maison de Maitre from the mid-nineteenth century, complete with its own former Cognac distillery.

During the winter months, our centrally heated house offers an exceptionally warm and cozy atmosphere with crackling log fires and candlelit dinners.

Situated in the charming south Charente region, guests can indulge in a plethora of activities, including cookery classes at renowned establishments such as Chez Cartier with Reza Mahammed. Additionally, there are opportunities for visiting local Cognac distilleries, engaging in wine-tasting, golfing, fishing, horse-riding, and bird-watching. For those interested in history, there are numerous captivating towns and villages boasting fascinating Chateaux and gardens.

Located in the peaceful hamlet of Le Tatre, just 4 kilometers off the N10 route to the South and Spain, our establishment serves as a convenient stopover or an ideal base for exploring the stunning French countryside. Surrounded by vineyards, sunflower fields, and rolling landscapes, the tranquil roads are perfect for cyclists, walkers, and birdwatchers. Keep an eye out for the Hoopoe, Black Redstart, Serin, Black Kite, and Zetting Cisticole, all of which can be spotted in the Le Tatre area.

Furthermore, we are a prime location for house hunters, as we are in close proximity to the borders of three Departments: the Charente Maritime, the Gironde, and the Dordogne. For recreational activities, a fishing lake and tennis court are just a few yards away from our house. Adding to the picturesque surroundings, an eleventh-century church overlooks our serene garden.

Appréciations pour La Vieille Distillerie, Le Tatre:

Pour une nuit
Review by: Rémy et Agnès , Sep 22 2019 7:27PM
