Description:

Description for B&B:

Welcome to Le Queyroix-Martin, a charming retreat nestled in the picturesque Monts de Blond in rural Haute-Vienne. Debra and Graham invite you to experience the tranquility and serenity of their converted barns, where you can rejuvenate amidst the fresh air and melodic birdsong.

Our bed and breakfast boasts five beautifully designed double bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom. These rooms have been lovingly transformed from the original apple and livestock barns dating back to 1883. In the evenings, indulge in our delightful table d'hôtes meals, either in the dining room adorned with original features or outside on the terrace, overlooking the splendid garden.

Immerse yourself in the natural beauty surrounding Le Queyroix-Martin, with its enchanting forests of chestnut and oak. The property spans four acres of land, including the charming apple orchard. Feel free to explore, find a cozy spot to lose yourself in a book, or simply relax and absorb the breathtaking views of the valley. Keep an eye out for the graceful roe deer that often graze among the trees.

For outdoor enthusiasts, this area is a paradise for walkers and cyclists, offering over 100 km of accessible tracks, both on and off-road. Nearby towns and villages are waiting to be discovered, many of which host weekly or fortnightly markets. Lac St Pardoux, a short distance away, presents opportunities for freshwater swimming and various water sports. If you're seeking cultural experiences, Limoges is a mere 30-minute drive away, boasting museums, historic buildings, art galleries, and the renowned porcelain manufacturers.

Getting to Le Queyroix-Martin is convenient, with regular flights from multiple UK airports to Limoges Bellegarde, just a short 20-minute drive away. Other airports, such as Poitiers, Tours, Bergerac, and Bordeaux, are within a three-hour drive. In 2014, Ryanair will also introduce a new route to Brive, which is an easy one-hour drive from our property. Should you prefer to travel by train, Limoges is accessible via TGVs from Paris Gare Austerlitz, easily reached from Eurostar, and the Limoges station (Gare Bénédictine) is worth a visit for its remarkable architecture, even if you aren't arriving by train. If you're driving, we are approximately eight hours from Calais, with various route options to avoid Paris and its infamous périphérique.

Whether you're stopping by to break up a longer journey, craving an action-packed holiday, seeking a relaxing weekend getaway, or even searching for your dream house in the area, Le Queyroix-Martin extends a warm and friendly welcome to all. We eagerly await the opportunity to meet you and make your stay unforgettable.

Stayed here for 2 nights and can honestly say that it is one of the best places we have stayed. Graham and Debra put everything into making you feel at home. The rooms are super and very comfortable and clean. The food is exceptionally good and home made. Our evening meals and the company were the icing on the cake. Thank you both!

Beautiful, new rooms and affectionate atmosphere

During our travel through France, we lived in several Bed&Breakfast accomodations and this definitly was one of the best ones. The rooms are new and you can see and feel the passion and big ambition Debra and Graham put in their rooms to make them as comfortable as possible for their guests.
For the breakfast they bake their own Brioche and you can choose between several self made confitures.
We had great conversations with the owner, who gave us also good advices about the region and local events.
We are still thinking about our trip and won't forget!

Directions

To find Chambre dhôtes Le Queyroix-Martin, take the Chamboret to Blond road (D5) and look for the tourist information board as you enter Vaulry from the Chamboret direction. Turn off the road at this point and head up the hill towards Le Queyroix-Martin. Keep the horse paddock on your right as you follow the road for about 1.8 km. When you reach a sharp right hand bend with a footpath signpost on the right, turn right and continue up the hill. You will spot our house, the first one on the right, about 150 meters up the hill. Look out for the blue gates as an easy identifier.
