You can find us in the Upper Cecina Valley, a region known for its rich cultural heritage. Volterra, an important historical Etruscan city with Roman, Medieval, and Renaissance remains, serves as the main cultural center in the area.Our recently restored farmstead, built in the traditional Tuscan architectural style, is located in front of S. Dalmazio, an ancient town just 700m away. This town was the setting for the romance novel "Il taglio del bosco" by Carlo Cassola.
Situated in the Pomarance district of the province of Pisa, our farmstead is nestled in the scenic High Maremma Toscana region, near the "Colline Metallifere" or Metal Hills. This area is known for its stunning landscapes, ranging from wooded areas like the Berignone Wood, Tatti, and Monterufoli Wood, to gullies, crags, and geysers.
Perched on a hill 350m high, our farmstead offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by the beauty of the countryside. We have 60 hectares of land where we cultivate organic wheat and olives.
For our guests, we provide breakfast (B&B) and dinner (for half board) in our veranda, which offers a splendid view of the 12th century Rocca Sillana. This historical landmark is within walking distance. We take pride in serving delicious meals featuring fine Tuscan cuisine and fresh organic produce from our garden. Upon request, we can also accommodate vegetarian dietary preferences. In addition, we exclusively use our own organic extra-virgin olive oil in our meals and on our tables.

DIRECTIONS FROM THE NORTH (GENOVA - PARMA - LA SPEZIA):
Take Highway A12 (Genova-Rosignano) and exit at Rosignano. Continue on Route "Variante Aurelia SS1" towards Grosseto, then exit at Cecina Nord. From there, take Statale n° 68 towards Volterra and continue straight to Saline di Volterra. Turn right towards Pomarance and after passing through the town, follow the signs for Larderello. After 3 km, turn left towards S. Dalmazio. Just 500m after S. Dalmazio, you will see a sign on your right indicating "Podere Apparita". Continue straight on that road for 300m and you will have arrived at your destination.
DIRECTIONS FROM PISA AIRPORT:
Take the FI-PI-LI highway towards Firenze and exit at the second exit for Pontedera. Follow the signs for Volterra until you reach Saline di Volterra. From there, proceed to Pomarance and after passing through the town, follow the signs for Larderello. After 3 km, turn left towards S. Dalmazio. Just 500m after S. Dalmazio, you will find a sign on your right indicating "Podere Apparita". Continue straight on that road for 300m and you will have arrived at your destination.
DIRECTIONS FROM BOLOGNA-FIRENZE:
Once you reach Firenze, take the exit for Firenze Impruneta and then take the highway towards Siena. Exit at Colle Val d'Elsa Sud and turn right. At the roundabout, follow the signs for Radicondoli - Grosseto for 10 km until you reach a gas station called "Total" on the left and the "La Speranza" restaurant on your right. Turn right after the restaurant and after 2 km, turn left towards Monteguidi. After a couple of km, turn right towards Pomarance. Pass through the towns of Monteguidi and Montecastelli and then follow the signs for San Dalmazio. After 3 km from Montecastelli, you will see the sign for our farmstead, which is located 300 m ahead on the left.

Take the highway towards Civitavecchia and then proceed along the Aurelia highway. Exit at Cecina NORD. From there, take route Statale nr. 68 towards Volterra and continue straight to Saline di Volterra. Turn right towards Pomarance and after passing through the town, follow the signs for Larderello. After 3 km, turn left towards S. Dalmazio. Just 500m after S. Dalmazio, you will find the sign "Podere Apparita" on your right.
