Description for B&B:

Welcome! We are delighted that you have discovered us. A vacation is an opportunity to escape the everyday, and holidays provide the space for new ideas to flourish. We invite you to spend your holidays in a tranquil and restful environment. Our beautiful region offers a multitude of opportunities for you to enjoy. Whether you come for hiking, with your family, to explore the region by bike or motorcycle, or simply to be alone and savor the well-deserved peace... The versatility of Grange d'Anjeux provides countless options for recreational activities. People with diverse needs and interests can have a wonderful time during their holidays or long weekends with us.

Anjeux is located 5 km west of Saint-Loup-sur-Semouse and approximately 30 km north of the city of Vesoul. Situated at an elevation of 242 m, the village extends to the northernmost part of the department, in the Chanois stream valley west of the low ground of Planey, on the edge of the Vosges plateau.

The commune covers an area of 8.71 km², encompassing a somewhat hilly landscape on the border of the Vosges. To the east of the commune lies the low ground of Planey, which originates from a karst source and flows approximately 7 km southward into the Semouse river. The valley is about one kilometer wide and has an average elevation of around 235 m. Within the region of Anjeux, the Planey stream is joined by the Dorgeon and Chanois tributaries. The eastern boundary is marked by the hillock of the forest of Fays, the highest point in Anjeux at 303 m. It serves as the watershed in the Semouse valley.

In the northwest, the commune extends into the Chanois stream valley and onto the hills near Haute de Calenne and Charmot, reaching an elevation of about 260 m. The northern boundary is formed by the forest of La Levue.

Anjeux shares its borders with neighboring towns such as Dampvalley-Saint-Pancras and Cuve to the north, Girefontaine to the west, La Pisseure, Plainemont and Jasney to the south, and Bouligney and Saint-Loup-sur-Semouse to the east.

The region has been inhabited since Roman times. In the Middle Ages, Anjeux was a part of the Free County of Burgundy. From 1271, there is evidence of a ruling authority centered in Anjeux, which later fell partially under the influence of the Luxeil-les-Bains monastery and the von Faucogney family. The peace of Nijmegen in 1678 brought Anjeux under the control of Franche-Comté and France.

The Church of Anjeux is classified as a historical monument and was constructed in the Gothic flamboyant style during the 15th and 16th centuries. The 19th-century wash house is also of historical significance. South of the road from Anjeux to Bouligney, towards the low ground of Planey, there are remnants of the castle La Sarrasinière located in a small grove.

The Planey source is a captivating tourist attraction. Depending on the weather conditions, it displays various stunning combinations of blue and green colors.
