Description:

Description for B&B:

St. John Commandery of Artin is a unique guest house that offers a charming living experience amidst court, cellars, and gardens. Originally a hospital order of St. John of Jerusalem, this historical commandery was transformed into a farm after the Revolution. The barn, stables, and bread oven, all carved into the rock, still stand today, preserving the rich heritage of the past.

Our four guest rooms, namely Aunis, Gamay, Jasnières, and Vouvray, pay tribute to the exquisite vineyards that surround us. Additionally, we have a family room called Jasnières, which can accommodate up to five people. Nestled in the old granary of the main farm building, these rooms offer a blend of contemporary design and traditional elements, featuring exposed beams and polished plaster. For those who enjoy indulging in a leisurely morning, we highly recommend booking our Sunday morning brunch.

At St. John Commandery, we take pride in offering our guests an opportunity to share our table for an unforgettable "meal of the Commandery." In a warm and welcoming atmosphere, we invite you to join us as we introduce you to our esteemed local producers. Our host, who possesses a deep passion for food and wine, skillfully crafts delightful alternatives for our guests. Discover a world of flavors!

To enhance your stay, we provide a range of activities such as tasting courses, sensory workshops, and enjoyable games for both young and old. These experiences are designed to not only entertain but also sharpen your taste buds and enhance your knowledge of wine. With our wine tasting sessions, you can delve into the art of wine appreciation through sensory tests and gain a deeper understanding of various wine varieties. Join us for a scrumptious and unforgettable time with friends and family.
