Located between the towns of Saintes and Cognac, the Logis de l’Astrée is a charming establishment that welcomes guests throughout the year. This 17th Century nobleman’s house has preserved its original austere style, which is characteristic of the Saintonge region. The house is known for its warm hospitality and harmonious ambiance. Guests can enjoy a serene atmosphere and expansive open spaces that are perfect for relaxation. The property features a cozy sitting-room/library, a delightful garden surrounded by vineyards, and a refreshing swimming pool nestled among woods and vineyards. It is an ideal location to indulge in the treasures of the Saintonge region, including the beautiful Atlantic coast, the famous Cognac spirit, Romanesque architecture, and the vibrant festivals that take place in Saintes and Cognac throughout the year. The Logis de l’Astrée has been owned by a family of winemakers for seven generations and has been a wine-producing estate since 2000. Guests will have the opportunity to sample the family’s exquisite Cognac, Pineau des Charentes, and Vin de Pays. The gîte is located in the old servants' quarters within the property's surrounding wall, offering complete independence while still being part of the immediate surroundings. It features a private garden and secure access to the swimming pool, and has been awarded 3 stars by Gîtes de France.La Petite Maison is a comfortable and traditional holiday accommodation for 2-3 people. The sitting room still retains its plain fireplace and potager, characteristic of simple houses from the period, while the bedroom overlooks the mezzanine floor. The separate kitchen and bathroom are tiled in terra cotta, and the lime-washed walls and linen furnishings create a cozy and homely atmosphere. The private garden is perfect for relaxation before taking a gentle swim. Bed linen and towels are provided, and television is available upon request.
La Maison des Chênes is situated in the dependences of the south outer wall of the Logis de l'Astrée, with its main view facing the surrounding wood. It offers a peaceful environment, in line with the atmosphere of the Logis de l'Astrée, and provides complete independence.
With two rooms, each with their own private bathroom, La Maison des Chênes has a surface area of approximately 100 m², making it suitable for a family of 4-5 people. The spacious living room opens onto a private garden equipped with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. A short path leads to the swimming pool on the property. Sheets and bathroom linens are provided.
The gîte is equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher, refrigerator, stovetop, oven, microwave, and iron. ADSL internet access is available at the Reception of the Logis de l'Astrée. There is a car park near the house, with access through the garden. La Maison des Chênes is also accessible to handicapped individuals.

To reach the Logis de l'Astrée from Saintes, follow these directions:
1. Head east on the N141 towards Cognac.
2. Take a left onto the D134, following the signs for Saint Sauvant and Saint Bris des Bois.
3. Continue driving on the D134 through the village of Saint Bris.
4. After passing through Saint Bris, stay on the D134 and make a left turn towards Brizambourg.
5. As you exit the village, you will find the Logis de l'Astrée located next to the cemetery.
