The PLESSIS BELLEVUE MANOR, located in Saumur in the Loire Valley, holds a rich historical significance as it was the residence of EMILE LEON-ALLIX, personal physician and friend of VICTOR HUGO. This eighteenth-century manor has been completely renovated by Alain Nicolas and Veronique Coquema, transforming it into a charming guest house that combines comfort with the "Art de Vivre French" lifestyle. The manor boasts a beautiful landscaped garden and a heated swimming pool that offers breathtaking views of the city of Saumur and the Loire River. The main house of the manor features a spacious lounge with a library and a large dining room, as well as five historical-style suites that offer modern comforts such as baths or showers, WiFi, safes, satellite TVs, and flat screens. Additionally, there is a fully equipped cottage called THE COTTAGE, which includes a lounge and three bedrooms with baths and showers, one of which is handicap-accessible.
Another part of the manor, known as the FLAG VICTOR HUGO, houses a billiard room with a French balcony and an Eiffel staircase that provides stunning views of the Loire River. This area also includes a true smoker's space with a cellar for cigars and is suitable for small receptions or events, with access to a cellar carved into the rock called The Den BACCHUS.
The FLAG Plantagenets is equipped with a fitness spa that includes a Jacuzzi, a massage room, and a table tennis table. This area also showcases paintings by contemporary masters.
