Directions from the Cancun Airport to Villas DeRosa:
Upon leaving the Cancun airport, head east for one mile. Look for highway #307, the only highway running north and south from Cancun to Tulum. Turn right onto #307 and continue south for approximately 65 miles (about 100 kilometers) until you reach the bays of Akumal.
During the drive, you will pass through the pueblo of Puerto Morelos after fifteen miles. Keep an eye out for topes, which are speed bumps that can cause damage to your vehicle. They are not always easy to spot due to worn-off paint. Further along, you will reach Playa Del Carmen, a growing city with more amenities. If you wish to visit a larger grocery store, stay in the right lane section and look for the Soriana Mall on the southern side of the city.
Continue south for 12 more miles, passing the golfing community of Puerto Aventuras. Be cautious of topes near the people crossing bridge. Finally, after another 12 miles, you will reach Akumal. The first Akumal exit you will see is "Playa Akumal," but Villas DeRosa is located 2 miles further south at the exit for Aventuras Akumal. Look for a green road sign that says ‘Villas DeRosa Resort’ above the road at this exit. Turn left at the exit, where you will also see the name Aventuras Akumal in green letters on the entrance wall. Pass the entrance and drive a bit further south until you reach a highway turn area just before the bridge of Bahia Principe. Turn around here and head back north to Aventuras Akumal.
Once you have turned into Aventuras Akumal, follow the dirt road for approximately 1/4 mile. The road will make a 90-degree left turn, and you will see houses on your right. Villas DeRosa is located on the center lots, specifically lots 35, 36, and 37. Look for signs indicating our condos, restaurant, rooftop bar, beach bar, and office.
