Description:

Description for Gite

Welcome to Pinot Black Cottage, located in the beautiful Clos de Guignes, an ancient winery with a rich history. Dating back to the seventeenth century, this estate in Tavers, Loire Valley, was once home to monks from the diocese of Meung-sur-Loire who produced wine for the royal tables, most notably enjoyed by Louis XIII himself.

As you enter the large farmhouse, adorned with roses, you will be greeted by a vineyard square that leads to a sprawling landscaped garden, full of hidden corners where our friendly hens roam. Le Clos de Guignes offers a peaceful and rejuvenating experience, with amenities such as a heated pool, a spa near the pergola, and a cozy cabin by the river where you can unwind or enjoy a fishing trip. Keep an eye out in the morning for deer frolicking in the woods or pheasants strolling by.

At Pinot Black Cottage, we pride ourselves on providing a warm and cheerful environment for our guests. The cottage is located in a separate building, providing you with the independence and tranquility you desire. We are delighted to share with you the various amenities of our site and the surrounding area. Please note that the attic space with two single beds may not be suitable for elderly guests, but it is ideal for families with children or groups of friends.

Pinot Black Cottage is conveniently located just a ten-minute drive from Beaugency station and 150km from Paris. You will be just steps away from the Loire River, a UNESCO World Heritage site, which you can explore on foot or by using the bicycles at your disposal. The famous Loire vineyards and castles, such as Chambord, Blois, and Meung-sur-Loire, are mere minutes away from the cottage. For those seeking more adventurous activities, the Beauval Zoo and Sologne karting are also nearby.

Allow us to introduce your hosts:

We look forward to welcoming you to Pinot Black Cottage and ensuring you have a memorable stay.
