Welcome to La Demeure des détectives, a charming Bed & Breakfast located in Trainou, near Orleans! Situated in the picturesque village of Trainou and only a stone's throw away from the enchanting forest of Orleans, our guest house boasts an ideal location, in close proximity to various attractions and activities. Explore the renowned castles of the Loire or marvel at the grandeur of the Cathedral of Orleans. Whether you seek outdoor adventures like hiking, golfing, water activities, horseback riding, or thrilling experiences such as karting, there is something for everyone!When we envisioned our guest house, which can accommodate up to 14 people, we aimed to create more than just a place to sleep. Each of our four guest rooms has been thoughtfully furnished and decorated to transport you to different eras and locations, evoking the mysteries of iconic detectives. From the allure of Romantic Italy to the majesty of Imperial China, the charm of Victorian England, and the modernity of Sweden, our captivating guest rooms are sure to delight you!
Our Bed & Breakfast is not just a place to rest; it is a true sanctuary of relaxation and entertainment. Alongside your tranquil, bright, and spacious room, you will have access to over 150m² of communal spaces and more than one hectare of lush gardens. Whether you prefer indoor activities like billiards, playing the piano, engaging in board games, card games, or immersing yourself in a good book, or outdoor pursuits such as table tennis, French Petanque, Finnish Mölkky, or various ball and racket games, there will never be a dull moment! To enhance your experience and savor the bountiful fruits and vegetables cultivated in our garden, we also offer a delightful dining experience at our host table.

Directions by road:
From Orléans (25 min): Take the Tangential East and exit at Chécy. Turn left towards Neuville aux Bois until you reach Traînou.
From Paris (1h30): Take A6B, then N20 to Etampes. Take the D721, then the D921 to Pithiviers. From there, head towards Loury and join the D2152. Follow the signs to Traînou.
From central Traînou (2 min): Take rue du Gros Baril. At the end, turn left onto Rue de la Carrière and then right onto the street of Laurendière. After passing the "Traînou" sign, turn right onto des Puiseaux.
By train: The nearest station is Orleans - Aubrais. From there, it is a 25-minute drive, 35 minutes by bus, or 1 hour by bike to reach your destination.
By bus: Take line 16 "Orleans - Ingrannes" until you reach either the Traînou Stadium stop or the College Traînou stop. Bus timetables can be found on the website ulys-loiret.com. If requested, we can pick you up from the bus stop, which is 1km away from the guest house.
