Welcome to our beautifully restored maison-de-maitre owned by Sue and Dave Scales. Located in a peaceful stone hamlet, it offers breathtaking views of a serene green valley. Despite its tranquil surroundings, it is just a short distance away from the lively historic village of St Jean-de-Côle, known for its bustling restaurants.If you're looking for more attractions, the nearby medieval town of Brantôme is a must-visit destination in the Dordogne region. Additionally, we are conveniently located less than an hour's drive from Limoges airport, which provides easy access to various UK destinations. Bergerac airport is about 85km away, and Bordeaux airport is 100km away, both offering car rental services.
Our house is filled with natural light and features a charming blend of French and English antiques, creating a warm and inviting country-house ambiance. Each of our two spacious bedrooms can accommodate up to four people and includes a private shower room and WC.
Outside, our two-acre gardens offer a Mediterranean-style courtyard with shaded terraces for relaxing. To the rear, you'll find extensive stone terraces, lawned gardens, and a large swimming pool with a sun terrace. From the garden, you can enjoy mesmerizing views of the valley.
Throughout the year, we offer rooms at a tariff ranging from 50 to 80 Euros per night, depending on the season and the number of occupants. Payments should be made in Euros cash at the end of your stay.
Located in the Perigord Vert region of the Dordogne, our property is just a few kilometers away from the edge of the Limousin National Park and is surrounded by numerous tourist attractions. These include the historic town of Brantôme, known for its Abbey and extensive waterways, the magnificent Chateau of Puyguilhem, and the captivating caves at Villars. We also recommend a visit to the Chateau at Bourdeilles, with its historic tower, as well as the vibrant cathedral city of Perigueux.
For outdoor enthusiasts, this area offers excellent opportunities for walking, cycling, canoeing, and fishing. And for those who prefer relaxation, you can simply unwind by our pool and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
