This charming residence has been lovingly restored and decorated in a minimal modern style with a touch of the orient. It is perfect for a couple or one person seeking a peaceful retreat.

On the ground floor, you will find a fully fitted kitchen and dining area, equipped with everything you need for cooking. The kitchen features a gas hob, fan oven, dishwasher, washing machine, and fridge. The oak worktop and unpolished marble tile floor add a touch of elegance, while the excellent stainless steel saucepans and top-of-the-range frying pans ensure a pleasurable cooking experience. All necessary utensils, attractive crockery, cutlery, and glasses are also provided.

Moving up to the first floor, you will discover a bright and airy living room with a wooden floor. Double doors lead out to a quiet patio at the back of the house, overlooking a small garden with a sun terrace. The garden is adorned with vibrant flowers and a variety of herbs. A BBQ and garden furniture are available for your enjoyment. Inside the living room, you will find entertainment options such as sky TV, DVD player, stereo, and an excellent collection of local interest books.

Continuing to the second floor, you will find the comfortable bedroom with an attached bathroom. The large bed features an orthopedic mattress, ensuring a good night's sleep. Amenities such as a fan, mosquito net, Egyptian cotton bed linen, power shower, and luxury towels are provided for your comfort.

We provide a recommended list of restaurants where you can enjoy wonderful food and wines.

Description for Gite

Located just 5km from Badefols, this charming house is conveniently situated on the left side of the road, opposite a car park.

By car, you can reach Bordeaux in just 1.30 hours, with direct flights available from Dublin with Aer Lingus and from Cork, Edinburgh, Porto, and Bologna with Ryanair, as well as other European connections. Known as France's second city, Bordeaux is just as beautiful as Paris, but on a smaller scale.

The famous wine region of St. Emillion is only 1 hour away, offering a picturesque town and exquisite wines.

Sarlat, a perfectly restored old town dating back to medieval and renaissance times, is just a 40-minute drive away. As the capital of Black Périgord, Sarlat boasts exceptional preservation and showcases over 1,000 years of architectural history through its charming lanes, stone roofs, and walls.

In just 30 minutes, you can visit Domme, a larger bastide town perched high above the Dordogne River. Domme offers stunning views of the river and countryside and still retains part of its original fortified walls and gateways.

Montpazier, a National Heritage Site and the best-preserved bastide in the Dordogne, can be reached in 35 minutes. It is considered the most typical example of a bastide in the entire southwest of France.

Bergerac, located just 30 minutes away, has a rich wine heritage dating back to the thirteenth century. The area has been exporting wines since 1254, thanks to special privileges granted by Henry III of England. While in Bergerac, make sure to visit the Récollects Cloisters, now used by Bergerac's Maison des Vins, and explore the variety of shops available.

Only 25 minutes away, Issigeac is a medieval village enclosed by circular walls. Its narrow roads wind through the village, creating a unique atmosphere characterized by light, shadow, stone, and wood. Directions

To travel to Sarlat from Lalinde, follow the D29 road for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach the village of Badefols. At this point, make a right turn and continue for 200 meters. You will find the house on your left, directly across from the car park.
