Directions
To reach Les Chambons, there are two easy routes by car. If you are coming from the N89 at Thenon, turn left at the main crossroads in Thenon and follow the signs to Sainte-Orse. It is approximately 7km from Thenon to Sainte-Orse. Keep an eye out for signs to Gabillou along the way. Once you reach Sainte-Orse, continue following the signs to Gabillou. After going through the village and down a hill, take a left towards Gabillou. Stay on this road, D70, for about 4km. We are located just past the tiny locality of Vaudres and below the village of Gabillou. Follow the directions mentioned earlier to find us.
If you are traveling from Limoges on the D704, look for the signpost for Sainte-Orse about 10 minutes past Saint Agnan (near Hautefort). Follow the signs to Sainte-Orse, which is approximately 10 minutes away. Once you arrive in the center of Sainte-Orse, you will come to a small crossroads with Hotel de France on your left and the Marie on your right. Turn right and go down a hill. At the bottom of the hill, take the left turn signposted Gabillou. Stay on this road for 4km, making sure not to go left towards Gabillou. Just after passing the Gabillou turning, you will see a pretty stone cottage called Le Chambon, which is our neighbor. Les Chambons, the big house, is located on the left just after the stone cottage. Drive past the side of the house and carefully turn right through the large iron gates into the courtyard. Please note that a two-point turn may be required to enter the courtyard.
