Welcome to our charming Bed & Breakfast, a peaceful haven for a stress-free vacation. Our family-run establishment is nestled in the undiscovered Cantal department of the picturesque Auvergne region in central France. Located within the breathtaking Parc Natural Regional des Volcans, La Fromental is a beautifully restored Cantal farmhouse dating back to 1850. Surrounded by seven acres of enchanting woodland and boasting stunning views of the majestic Puy de Sancy, the highest peak in the Massif Central, our B&B offers an idyllic retreat.We provide comfortable bed and breakfast accommodations, or chambres d’hôtes, available on a daily basis. For those seeking a delightful evening dining experience, we also offer the option of delicious meals for an additional charge. Our establishment features four tastefully decorated rooms, each equipped with private bathrooms and cozy double beds. Families are welcome to stay in our spacious family suite, which includes an adjoining room with two single beds for children.
Start your day with a delectable breakfast served in our charming dining room or outside in our lovely garden. Indulge in freshly baked bread and croissants sourced from the local baker in the village, accompanied by an assortment of jams, honey, fruit juice, cereals, boiled eggs, and your choice of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. Occasionally, our talented hostess Amelia may surprise you with her homemade muffins, infused with seasonal fruits, as a delightful alternative to croissants.

Directions
Directions from the South: Take the A75 and exit at exit 6. Pass through Plauzat, Champeix (D978), and Besse-en-Chandesse. At Besse, follow the signs for Condat for approximately 7 km, then make a right turn onto D203 towards Picherande. Continue for a few kilometers and at Chomeille, turn left towards Saint-Genès on D614. Once in Saint-Genès, head towards Bort-les-Orgues. At La Crégut, follow the signs for Bort-les-Orgues/Champs-sur-Tarentaine. After about 3 km, take a right turn towards Marchal on D622. Upon entering Marchal, make a left turn onto D622 towards Lanobre. After 100m, take a right turn into La Fromental and continue for another 150m to reach the house.
Directions from Corrèze (Ussel): When in Bort-les-Orgues, pass the dam and follow the signs for Clermont-Ferrand. Pass through Lanobre and after 4 km, 100m from an information kiosk (on the left), take the right turn onto D622 towards Marchal. Follow this road for 8 km, go over a mini-crossing, still following Marchal. After 3.5 km, take a left turn towards La Fromental, 100m before entering Marchal. Continue over the hill for another 150m to reach the house.
Directions from Clermont-Ferrand: Take the N89 towards Bordeaux. After approximately 10 km past Massagettes, turn right towards Bort-les-Orgues (D922). Pass through Rochefort-en-Montagne, Laqueuille, Tauves, and Larrodde. Upon entering the Department of Cantal, 100m after the information kiosk (on the right), make a left turn towards Marchal on D622. Follow this road for 8 km, go over a mini-crossing while still following Marchal. After 3.5 km, take a left turn towards La Fromental, 100m before entering Marchal. Continue over the hill for another 150m to reach the house.
