Very Nice B&B
We stayed at Maison de l'Oiseau for 2 nights. The rooms were nice and clean, the bed comfortable, good shower and a good selection for the continental breakfast. In addition our room had a fridge and some nice French period features. The location is perfect and Ann and Brian are really friendly and helpful.
A recommander.
Directions
Directions to The Bird House:
If you are coming from the East or the South, your first destination is Ploermel. Once in Ploermel, get on the RN24 and head towards Lorient. After approximately 10km, keep an eye out for the Josselin est junction. Take this exit and continue towards the Centre de Ville.
As you descend the hill, you will notice that you are entering the old town. The streets here are narrow, and the houses are very close to the roadside. Keep going past the shops on both sides of the street, and as you continue downhill, you will come across a bakery on the right and a Restaurant called La Sarazine on the opposite side.
At this point, take a sharp left turn onto the canal road. As you proceed, you will be greeted by the majestic view of the Chateau on your right. Take your time to appreciate this sight. On the bank of the canal, you will also notice a large hotel called Le Hotel du Chateau. Just before reaching this hotel, make your first right turn as if you were entering the hotel's parking lot.
However, instead of going into the hotel car park, continue straight for another 100m. On your right, you will find black gates. Congratulations, you have arrived at Maison Oiseau, also known as The Bird House.
