The Segau is a Gascon farmhouse constructed entirely of stone during the late 18th century. It was a prominent establishment at the time, spanning over 100 hectares and accommodating multiple family groups. The farmer resided in the eastern section of the building, while 4-5 sharecroppers occupied the western part alongside their families. This area has now been transformed into five guest rooms.Presently, the farm operates on a 53-hectare plot of land surrounding the original buildings. The land is crossed by the "Osse" river, and we strictly adhere to organic farming practices. Our primary crops include cereals such as wheat, soybeans, lentils, and beans.
Situated in the heart of Ténarèze, our location offers a picturesque hilly landscape where the Pyrenees Mountains can be admired. Preserving the authentic essence of the original structure was of utmost importance to us during the restoration process. The choice of materials and techniques used, such as stone walls, traditional joints, and whitewashing, reflect the time period in which the farmhouse was built.
Additionally, we provide a total of ten horse boxes and motorcycle storage facilities.
