This charming Maison de Maitre, constructed in 1890, is situated in a peaceful and picturesque setting on the border of Charente and Dordogne, near Angouleme. The interior is beautifully adorned in a stylish Swedish design, combining elegance with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The house has even been featured in esteemed publications such as Jean Darc Living magazine and Maison Chic.Ideal for those looking to explore the renowned wine regions of Cognac and Bordeaux, as well as the delightful Charente and Dordogne Brocante markets, this property serves as the perfect base. Additionally, it offers a comfortable and convenient overnight stay for travelers embarking on longer journeys throughout France. Located near the main north-south autoroute N10, we are also happy to provide recommendations for fantastic day trips. A continental breakfast is included, and for those seeking a cultural detour, Paris is just a quick 2.5-hour journey away by TGV.
We have a private suite available, offering lovely views of the grounds and gardens. The suite boasts an incredibly cozy king-sized bed, as well as a private bathroom complete with a bath and shower. Additionally, there is a separate dressing room/sitting room for your convenience. The nearest airports are Bordeaux or Limoges, with easy access to Eurostar from London via Paris or Lilles. Please note that a minimum stay of 2 nights is required, and we can accommodate up to 3 guests with an additional bed upon arrangement for an extra charge.
