With its 240 kilometers of coastline, including 140 kilometers of pristine sandy beaches, the Vendée is a paradise for holidaymakers. Whether you are drawn to picturesque fishing towns, stunning rock formations, offshore islands like Ile Noirmoutier and Ile d’Yeu, or lively coastal towns, the Vendée has something to offer everyone. Nature enthusiasts will be captivated by the Passage du Gois and its rich birdlife. Sports enthusiasts can indulge in activities such as windsurfing, kite surfing, sand sailing, golfing, hiking, cycling, and horseback riding. Families with children can enjoy the beaches, as well as water parks, zoos, and aquariums. Moreover, the Vendée is steeped in history, with numerous museums, historical monuments, castles, and abbeys to explore. The region's green and undulating Bocage countryside is particularly beautiful and offers a range of walking and cycling routes, as well as wine regions in the south of the Vendée. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the renowned historical amusement park, Puy du Fou, which takes you on a fascinating journey through 2000 years of history.
