This spacious and comfortable architect-designed house offers stunning views of the forest to the south, creating a peaceful and green setting. Located close to the village center, it is the perfect retreat for families, with a playground for children and the convenience of being just 100m away from the starting point of the first hiking trails.The house comes with two parking spaces, a beautifully landscaped garden with flowers and trees, outdoor games, and a large terrace complete with a garden table, chairs, and a gas barbecue.
Within 300m of the cottage in the village of Illfurth, you will find a delightful bakery, a friendly butcher, a newsagent and small grocery store, a traditional restaurant called "Le Coq", an Irish pub, a Carrefour supermarket, two additional restaurants (Kebab and Pizzeria), a cheese shop, a pharmacy, four hairdressers, a library, three doctors, three dentists, two physiotherapists, a chiropodist, and a charming little market on Thursday mornings. There is also a bicycle repair shop.
The house itself is spacious and filled with natural light, making it an ideal base for exploring the Alsace region, Switzerland, and Germany. It can accommodate up to six people and features a large south-facing balcony, a patio, and a 500m2 enclosed garden.

If you are coming from the Euro-airport Basel in Switzerland, it will take you around 35 minutes to reach Altkirch via the Freiburg-Mulhouse route. At 1 pm, you can take the A35 road to Strasbourg, which is about a 35-minute drive. Additionally, Altkirch is conveniently situated just 35 minutes away from Colmar, where you can explore the famous wine route and visit the impressive High Koenigsbourg Castle. If you are interested in skiing, there is a ski resort only 30 minutes away. Furthermore, you can reach Freiburg in Germany or the Laguna Water park in approximately ¾ hour.
