"Located in the heart of the Marais Poitevin, 'Le Bas des Vignes' offers a peaceful and green haven for those seeking rest and relaxation. Our charming farmhouse, dating back to the 19th century, is the perfect place to unwind.Guests can enjoy the refreshing pool and explore the beautiful surroundings. Situated in South Vendée, just 12 km south of Fontenay-le-Comte, the capital of Lower Poitou, we are also conveniently located 35 km from La Rochelle, Ile de Re, and the stunning Atlantic Ocean beaches. Additionally, we are only 15 minutes away from Green Venice and its picturesque canals, as well as the Massif Forestier Mervent. The famous cinéscénie at the Grand Parc Puy du Fou is just an hour's drive away.
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by Christine, Claude, and their friendly animals. We offer quad horse-drawn carriage rides, as well as boat tours with Claude, providing a unique way to discover the charming landscapes of the Marais Poitevin along the Sevre Niortaise.
Cyclists and hikers are more than welcome, and we provide free baby furniture, refrigerators, and bicycles for delightful walks in the swamp. Our upstairs rooms are each equipped with a comfortable 160x200 bed, a private shower room, and WC. The family room 'La Mer' can accommodate an extra bed, while the room 'The Sun' can be transformed into a master suite.
Start your day with a delicious breakfast served on the sunny terrace, featuring homemade jams, cakes, and locally produced honey from South Vendee. Guests can also enjoy our beautiful environment, including the swimming pool, garden furniture, deckchairs, and pond.
Our rates are 50 per night for two people, including breakfast, for stays of two nights or more. For single night stays, the rate is 55 per night for two people, also including breakfast."
