Description for B&B:

The Domaine de Blacons is a charming family residence that perfectly combines simplicity and elegance, creating a timeless atmosphere.

Our commitment to preserving this property, which has been in our family for generations, is matched only by our passion for sharing the beauty of the Drome Valley. Building on the legacy left by our parents nearly four decades ago, we embarked on an adventure to ensure that this magnificent region continues to be enjoyed by all.

Nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes of the Drome Valley, between the Vercors and Provence, this 17th century home showcases the architectural style typical of the area. Comprised of two main buildings perched on sloping terrain, our warm hospitality ensures that every guest feels right at home, no matter the season. Surrounded by three hectares of enchanting gardens, where the chorus of crickets serenades you, our property offers the perfect sanctuary to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and reconnect with nature. During the renovations carried out from 2010 to 2013, we prioritized the use of ecological materials, in line with our commitment to environmental consciousness.

Our utmost priority is to fulfill the desires of our guests, ensuring that they lack for nothing during their stay. We are dedicated to sharing our personal experiences and insights about the unique treasures this area has to offer.

Additionally, our domaine serves as an ideal starting point for exploring the Drome, a captivating region that caters to the desires of nature lovers, offering a plethora of outdoor activities. Whether it is partaking in watersports along the River Drome or in the Roanne valley, indulging in paragliding, horse riding, mountain biking, or exploring the picturesque nature trails, there is something for everyone. The nearby sloping forest of Saou is a haven for walkers and climbers, while the village of Mirabel-et-Blacons serves as a gateway to the Regional Natural Park of the Vercors and the Valley of Gervanne, boasting stunning waterfalls, majestic cliffs, and verdant landscapes. The Drome is renowned for its rich biodiversity, fostered by its exceptional climate and sustainable agricultural practices. As the first department in France to be designated as Bio, the Drome boasts remarkable markets where one can discover and savor exquisite local products. History enthusiasts can embark on a Michelin-recognized excursion to the medieval tower of Crest and explore the charming mountain villages, where artists and artisans showcase their remarkable creations.
