Description for B&B:
Welcome to our guest house at the foot of the Olive trees in Balagne, with a pool. If you're looking to explore the beautiful balagne region while being close to Calvi and the red island, Calenzana is the perfect choice. Only 15 minutes away from Calvi and 25 minutes from Ile Rousse, you can easily explore the streets of Calvi and its citadel, relax on the nearby beaches, or venture to the paradisiacal white sandy beaches with turquoise waters such as Ghjunchitu, Bodri, Ostriconi, and Lozari near the red island. However, if you prefer a tranquil retreat, our property offers a peaceful environment with a pool and private terraces for each of our two double rooms. Each spacious room, measuring 30 m2, includes a bathroom, toilet, a comfortable double bed (180/200), a single convertible bed, a large flat-screen TV, and wifi access. Additionally, a 15 m2 terrace with private garden furniture allows you to enjoy the outdoors.
We have also designated a common area for our guests, which includes a lounge, board games, table football, a dining table, and a small kitchenette with a refrigerator and microwave. Outdoor activities such as petanque, swing, and slide are available for your enjoyment. The pool is equipped with a security system, including an audible alarm and a gate for access.
Start your day with a hearty breakfast under the Pergola, located by the pool, offering stunning views of the surrounding villages and mountains. Our breakfast consists of homemade pastries, local products, fresh fruit, and Corsican deli meats. In case of inclement weather, we also have a Pool House where breakfast can be served.
Throughout the day, you will have access to the pool house, where you can prepare coffee or tea at your convenience. Calenzana, aside from being the starting point for the famous GR 20 long-distance trail through Corsica and Mare e Monti, is also known for its rich heritage and history. Visit the village's church and bell tower or explore the main square, where 500 German soldiers were buried under the steeple. Don't miss the Chapel of the Holy Restitude, where a 4th-century sarcophagus was discovered under the altar. Nearby, you can explore other charming villages like Montemaggiore or SantAntonino, classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France. Lastly, a visit to the ghost village of Oporto is a must, offering breathtaking views of the entire bay of Calvi and the marina of Sant Ambrogio, accessible via a small path from the village of Lumio.
Our privileged location also grants you access to a multitude of activities that our region offers, including water sports, diving, horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, 4x4 adventures, quad biking, and sea excursions.
