Directions

LOCATION AND DIRECTIONS:
We are located in the Pays de la Loire region, on the northern border with Normandy, near the village of Averton. We are equidistant between Alencon and Le Mans.
To reach La Maison de Noyer B&B at La Cesnerie, we recommend using LD Lines, specifically the Newhaven-Dieppe service. It takes about an hour to drive from the M25 junction on the M23 to Newhaven, which is very quick. The ferry journey itself lasts approximately four hours and can be a truly relaxing way to begin your trip. Once you arrive in Dieppe, it takes about 2 hours and 45 minutes to reach us in St. Aubin du Desert via Rouen. The A28 highway has made this journey much faster than it used to be when there was no autoroute.
Driving times to our location are as follows: Dieppe, Caen, and Le Havre ferry ports - 2 hours and 45 minutes; Cherbourg - 3 hours; Calais - 3 hours and 45 minutes. Le Mans is 50 minutes away, Alencon and Mayenne are both 30 minutes away, and the Loire Valley and Saumur are approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes away.
DIRECTIONS: If you are traveling south on the A28, take exit 20 and drive to Sille le Guillaume. From there, continue on to Fresnay sur Sarthe, then to Souge le Ganelon, and proceed towards St Paul le Gaultier. Drive on towards Villaines la Juhel on the D15, which becomes the D119 as it enters the Mayenne. Turn right onto the D268 towards Gesvres, and then take the first right to La Maison de Noyer at La Cesnerie.
If you are using a GPS, enter "LA CESNERIE 53700" for directions to our small hamlet that consists of only three houses. La Maison de Noyer can be accessed via a short drive off the D268 and through a metal field gate.
