Chateau La Mothaye is conveniently situated between Angers and Saumur, just a five-minute drive from the A85 motorway. This makes it an ideal choice for a stopover during your trip to the beautiful Loire region. From here, you can easily explore the magnificent chateaux, historic towns, abbeys, wine fields, and more.
If you are traveling by car from the Channel Ports, the journey from Calais or Boulogne typically takes around 4.5 hours. Opting for a ferry crossing to one of the more southern French ports, such as Le Havre, Cherbourg, Caen, or St. Malo, can reduce your driving time upon arrival in France, but it will increase the crossing time. From Paris, it usually takes approximately 3 hours to reach Chateau La Mothaye by car.
For those traveling by train, the nearest TGV station is in Angers, which is just a 30-minute journey from Angers St. Laud station.
