Description for Gite

"Le Matelot & La Normande" is a charming apartment named after its beautiful Norman cupboard, a cherished family heirloom passed down through generations. The interior design combines a sailor chic aesthetic with vintage button accents, creating a unique and stylish atmosphere.

This bright apartment spans about 33 square meters and can comfortably accommodate 2 to 3 people. The living room, upon entering, offers a spacious 17 square meters of space, equipped with a kitchen, a wardrobe dresser in the Norman style, a dining table with 3 chairs, and a daybed (70 * 190) that doubles as a seat and can also accommodate an adult or a child.

The 9 square meter bedroom features a cozy double bed (140 * 190), while the 7 square meter bathroom showcases an old desk with a basin, a large mirror, a shower, a toilet, a hairdryer, and a wardrobe. The decorative style combines classic bourgeois elements, such as moldings and dark wooden furniture, with chic marine accessories and vintage pieces inspired by the 1950s and 1960s. The color palette consists of soft shades of blue, gray, white, and linen. The living room boasts beautiful parquet floors, the bedroom features seagrass flooring, and the bathroom has a painted floor. Marine objects and a selection of books add a touch of character to the space.

The apartment is flooded with natural light, with the living room and bedroom facing south, overlooking a small square with a nearby grocery store. The shower room offers a view of the Halley alley through cathedral glass windows. Some residents park in the square.

"The Loft Seaman" is a unique space within the apartment, characterized by its sloping ceilings, exposed beams, glass bathroom, contemporary design, and industrial decor. This studio, ideal for two people, spans approximately 32 square meters and features a fully equipped kitchen area with black mosaic tiles and a former industrial cloakroom serving as a dresser. The dining area includes a table and two high chairs, while the sleeping area offers a king-size bed (160 * 200). The shower room is enclosed by a canopy and features a large tiled shower, an old wooden bench with a basin, a toilet, and a hairdryer. Complementing the decor are various storage options such as commodes, trunks, baskets, and hooks. The color scheme revolves around shades of white, pale gray, taupe, black, and wood. The presence of beams and a metal canopy adds a touch of character. The furniture is a mix of antique flea market finds and industrial-inspired pieces. Marine objects and books are scattered throughout the space.

The apartment benefits from two large Velux windows on the night side and in the kitchen, equipped with blinds and sunshades. These windows offer views of the sky, the rooftops, and the Virgin fires. Additionally, a small skylight in the bathroom and a dog sitting area overlooking the rooftops enhance the overall ambiance.
