Véronique and Jean Pierre Duleux have chosen to reside in the charming historic residence known as Domaine de la Carrère, which dates back to the 17th century. This magnificent building has been home to nobles, merchants, and traders throughout the years, and was constructed during the illustrious reign of Louis XIV, also known as the Sun King. Located in the enchanting area of Arthez-de-Béarn in the Pyrénées Atlantique, Domaine de la Carrère is perfectly situated between the captivating city of Henri IV, PAU (only 20 minutes away), which embodies the very essence of French culture, vibrancy, and natural beauty, and the glamorous destination of BIARRITZ (just 40 minutes away). Additionally, it is conveniently close to the awe-inspiring Pyrenees mountains and Spain (only 1 hour away), as well as a mere 10 minutes from ORTHEZ.Our photo gallery showcases two splendid and spacious bedroom suites, each featuring a dressing room. The accommodation options include either two 4-ft single beds or an elegant antique double bed, along with a luxurious en-suite shower room boasting a power shower, double sink unit, toilet, hair dryer, dressing gowns, and toiletries. For your comfort, we provide tea and coffee facilities, as well as a television.
Should you desire an exquisite dining experience, we offer a high-quality Table d'hôtes (dinner), complete with an apéritif, starter, main course, dessert, wine, and coffee, all available upon request. To reach your destination, you have a few options. Firstly, there are daily flights from London to the airports of Biarritz or Pau. During the summer, there are also flights available from Bristol. Alternatively, you can choose to travel by car. You can take a ferry from Portsmouth to St Malo and then return via Bilbao.
