Directions
To get to the airports, you can take the Victoria or Picadilly lines on the tube. These lines are the same for Stanstead, Gatwick, and Heathrow airports. Alternatively, you can go to the main station arrivals. Most airports are about an hour away, but Stanstead, Luton, and Heathrow are the most direct.
If you're going from Stanstead airport, take the Liverpool Street train and get off at Seven Sisters/Tottenham Hale tube station. Finsbury Park is just one or two stops away from there. From Heathrow, take the Picadilly line, and from Gatwick, take the Victoria line. The nearest tube station to my location is Finsbury Park, which is in zone 2 and about 20 minutes away from the city center. From there, you can take the W7 bus, which will take about 5-10 minutes to reach my home, and then it's just a 2-3 minute walk.
When you arrive at Finsbury Park, go upstairs and turn right to the back of the station where the buses are. Wait at the main road for the W7 bus. Once on the bus, ask the driver for Holly Park and people on the bus can also help you know when to get off. It's about 5-10 minutes or 3-4 stops to the bottom of the hill. From there, go back one road and you'll find my house halfway down on the left with a light purple door.
If you prefer a minicab, you can call HERCULES at 0207 272 6666, or there is a minicab office near the W7 bus stop. The cost for a minicab to the airports is around £40-50, and it may be cheaper than taking the train if there are multiple people traveling. There is free parking available between 5pm and 9:45am on weekdays. If you need to leave your car between 10am and 2pm and are not staying overnight, please request vouchers, which cost £5 per session.
You may also want to investigate the London Pass on londonpass.com for cheaper travel and entrance to various sites. Additionally, consider arranging an Oyster Card in advance for convenient travel.
