Located just 2 km from the charming village of Salignac-Eyvigues, our beautifully restored 18th Century Dordogne Stone Manor house, Les Charmes de Carlucet, offers a magnificent stay. The village itself boasts a lively market square, grocery shops, and excellent restaurants. Additionally, we are conveniently situated just 15 minutes away from both Sarlat la Canéda and the world-famous caves of Lascaux.With a large heated outdoor pool, sauna, and 6 double bedrooms, each with their own ensuite bathrooms and air conditioning, our Manor house comfortably accommodates up to 14 people. The 70m2 living/dining room and professional kitchen provide ample space for relaxation and dining. Classified as a 5-star property by the Dordogne tourist board, the Manor house can be reserved as a Bed and Breakfast or as a private holiday home.
Next door, we offer the luxurious 3-bedroom villa Beaux Reves, also classified as 5-star, with its own private pool, accommodating up to 7 people. Combined, our properties can accommodate a total of 21 guests.
Families, couples, and groups of friends adore Les Charmes de Carlucet for its tranquil and peaceful setting. It serves as an ideal base for exploring the best sites and attractions in the Perigord Noir region. For cycling enthusiasts, we offer direct access to some of the most spectacular cycling routes in the Dordogne region. Just outside our front door, you can find a network of beautiful bike routes suitable for all abilities. We can assist with bike rental arrangements from Les Charmes.
Perched above the Manor house is the historic hamlet of Carlucet, featuring an impressive 11th-century Church. You will find peace, tranquility, and comfort as you indulge in a break in one of the most beautiful and captivating parts of France.
The Manor house has recently undergone extensive renovations using the highest quality materials. It now features new bathrooms, beautiful stone floors throughout the ground floor, and a newly decorated living and dining area with a stunning stone fireplace. The entire property is tastefully furnished to ensure your stay is comfortable, relaxing, and enjoyable.
Only 400 meters away from the Manor house, you will find The Black Duck, a charming Irish/French Pub/Restaurant serving lunch and dinner, with cool Guinness on tap. The outdoor terrace offers breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Additionally, there are other excellent restaurants a short drive away, including many in Sarlat.
As a British/Swedish couple living nearby, we are more than happy to provide advice and recommendations on places to visit. We can also assist with making reservations for you. If desired, we can arrange deliveries of fresh croissants and bread from the local boulangerie. Furthermore, a fantastic French chef is available to prepare and serve meals in our Manor house when you choose the self-catered option.
