Description for B&B:

Welcome to MAISON 1780, a brand new address that offers both comfort and a friendly atmosphere. Prepare to be pleasantly surprised by the audacity and refinement of its decoration.

Situated in Cournon d'Auvergne, between the Regional Natural Parks of Volcanoes and Livradois-Forez, MAISON 1780 is located in the heart of the Auvergne region. It is conveniently located just 15 minutes southeast of Clermont-Ferrand, and only 5 minutes away from the Zenith and the Grande Halle d'Auvergne.

With its ideal location, MAISON 1780 is less than an hour away from the main tourist sites, making it the perfect base to discover all the major attractions of the region.

As you pass through the gate, you will be greeted by the charm and tranquility of this former winemaker farm, which dates back to the 18th century. Fully restored in 2017, it offers a peaceful haven, allowing you to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Our three bedrooms, named "BERRY," "POLLEN," and "POTIRON," including a spacious family suite, are located on the first floor. Each room opens onto a lovely garden filled with fig trees, lilacs, lavenders, rosemary, and oleander. The soothing colors and natural light in each room ensure your comfort and tranquility during your stay.

The interior of the house is a tasteful blend of modern and traditional elements, showcasing volcanic lava stone staircases and slabs, old fireplaces, lime-washed timber-framed walls, original oak floors, vaulted ceilings, and tomettes. The period furniture, designer pieces, and cherished objects create a warm and inviting atmosphere of a "family home."

Guests have access to spacious common areas, including a dining room and a living room, perfect for relaxation and socializing.

The surrounding hills invite you to take leisurely strolls. You can also unwind on a lounger in the shade of the fig trees or on the terrace after a day of exploring the region's treasures.

Start your day with our gourmet and generous breakfasts, where you will rediscover the pleasure of taking your time. Our homemade spread includes jams, brioche, pastries, organic bread, yogurts, honey from our region, cereals, fresh fruit, high-quality bulk tea, and fruit juices.

For dinner, we offer a table d'hôtes upon reservation, featuring a selection of local dishes (45 euros per adult, including wine / 35 euros per child under 18). Our cuisine pays tribute to seasonal produce, recipes, and the treasures of our region.

To help you make the most of your adventures, we provide several itineraries highlighting the must-visit sites in the region.

MAISON 1780 will enchant all travelers seeking a charming house in Auvergne. It is a hidden gem that those who have discovered it would prefer to keep secret!

Please note that our little paradise is only open to humans as our animal friends are not allowed.
