Directions

If you are driving, it will take approximately 4-5 hours to reach the house from the ferry ports of Caen, Cherbourg, St Malo, or Roscoff. If you are coming from Calais or Boulogne, the journey will take around 6-7 hours. You can use the route planner on http://www.viamichelin.co.uk/viamichelin/gbr/tpl/hme/MaHomePage.htm. Make sure to select Boussais, Deux-Sevres (79600) as there are multiple French villages with the same name.

If you are coming from Saumur or Poitiers, upon reaching the village, turn left onto Rue de la Daviere and then take the first right onto Rue des Tilleuls. The house will be on your left-hand side. If you are coming from Nantes or Bressuire, pass the square with the mairie and bar/restaurant in the village. After the church, take the first right onto Rue de la Daviere and then the next right onto Rue des Tilleuls. The house will be in front of you on the left. You can park on the side of the house.

If you prefer to travel by air, the nearest airport is Poitiers, which is approximately 45 minutes away. Ryanair operates flights from Stansted and Birmingham to this airport. There are three other airports, Nantes, Tours, and La Rochelle, which are about 90 minutes away. These airports are serviced by various airlines from multiple UK airports, including Ryanair, Flybe, and Jet2.
