Description for B&B:
Experience the charm of a 17th-century farm-house nestled in the untouched wilderness of the Girona Pyrenees. This hidden gem is a paradise for hiking and mountain-biking enthusiasts, offering breathtaking natural beauty and tranquility. Surrounded by miles of pristine woodlands, the only light that illuminates the night sky comes from the moon and stars. Positioned on a mountain pass, the house provides awe-inspiring views of two valleys. With over 300 sunny days per year, it's the perfect destination to soak up the sun.We have two guest-rooms available for rent on the first floor of our beautifully renovated home, where we reside. Additionally, there is an independent apartment on the ground floor. The larger room features a double bed and a double futon sofa-bed, along with a private bathroom. The second room offers two single beds. Our guests also have access to a dining room exclusively reserved for them, complete with a cozy wood-burning stove. The apartment boasts a spacious and luminous hall with high vaulted ceilings, an American kitchen, a fireplace, a large dining table, and a comfortable living area with a sofa-bed. It also includes a bedroom with a double bed and a set of bunk beds, a generous bathroom, and a charming garden terrace beneath stone vaults, perfect for barbecues.
Our house strives for self-sufficiency, utilizing a central fireplace for heating and solar panels for electricity. We take pride in producing our own bread, pasta, game sausages, marmalades, and jams using fruits from our trees and wild berries and nuts. Additionally, we cultivate organic vegetables and raise chickens and ducks. To enhance your culinary experience, we offer half-board and full-board services, utilizing our organic products along with those sourced from local farmers.
Situated in the privileged middle-mountain region, ranging from 600 to 1,500 meters above sea level, our location offers a stunning panoramic view of the radiant Empordà plain stretching towards the sea. Welcome to Alta Garrotxa, a rugged and solitary middle-mountain region characterized by a diverse and contrasting landscape. Sunlit slopes are adorned with Mediterranean dry forest featuring holly oaks, oaks, and pine trees, while shaded areas boast lush vegetation with chestnut trees, beeches, and black poplars. Deep ravines, gurgling mountain streams, cascades, alpine meadows, and sheer rock walls add to the region's allure. Despite its historical sparsity in terms of population, scattered farm-houses and Romanesque chapels dot the landscape in improbable locations. Encounter deer, wild pigs, hares, and foxes more frequently than other humans in this region. The air is filled with the melodious songs of countless birds. No electricity, telephone cables, or asphalt blemish this expansive 32,865-hectare region. Here, you can escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and immerse yourself in the wonders of nature. Wander beneath the enchanting shade of chestnut forests or relax on a hammock beneath an oak tree. Just 15 minutes away lies the river Muga, named after the Basque word for "border" as it runs along the French-Catalan border. During the summer, the river's crystal-clear natural pools offer a heavenly escape. Autumn brings the opportunity to hunt for mushrooms, chestnuts, figs, and blackberries, while spring reveals wild strawberries, cherries, asparagus, and more mushrooms. Winter bestows a light dusting of snow under a vivid blue sky, providing a picturesque landscape without the extreme cold of higher altitudes.
We offer guided hiking tours and horse-back tours, allowing you to discover some of the most breathtaking views in this region, renowned for its rugged terrain and its historical significance as a crossing point for travelers traversing the Pyrenees on foot. Mountain-biking enthusiasts can explore several marked routes that cut through this remarkable area.

Appréciations pour ClardeBosc, Albanyà:
Can coll
