She is known as "the Vierzou," and her home has become a cherished destination for visitors. People willingly come here to indulge in the delightful flavors of roasted barley and herbal tea while engaging in pleasant conversations at the vigil.Over the years, and even centuries, time has passed by. However, a few years ago, one of her great grandchildren decided to breathe new life into the historic house of "la Vierzou" by making it their own.
Even in the 21st century, amidst the hustle and bustle, it is still possible to find solace and tranquility in the heart of Auvergne - a place often referred to as the "Midi du Auvergne" in tourist brochures. This picturesque village, situated 900 meters above sea level, is home to a mere 30 inhabitants. Within the walls of this early 1800s house, which has been carefully renovated with eco-friendly materials, one can escape from the clutches of pollution. In fact, there isn't even a television present, emphasizing the purity of the environment.
