Description for B&B:
La Grande Lauzade is a historic property in Provence that dates back to the 18th century. It was built on the grounds of a former monastery that can be traced all the way back to the 12th century, and even further to Gallo-Roman times when the site was already inhabited. The original monastery, which was renowned in the region, was looted and completely destroyed during the French Revolution. Afterwards, it was sold by the State as a National property. The current house was constructed using the original stones and foundations.Having transformed from a farm to a wine estate, the Charming Guest House La Grande Lauzade B&B is rich in centuries of history. Surrounded by vineyards that still produce the renowned Lauzade wine, the guest house offers access to various levels of gardens for guests to enjoy. Just a few steps away from the terrace, guests can relax on the pool deck under the shade of the plane trees and indulge in the 6-person jacuzzi. In the lower garden, a large cedar tree provides shelter from the sun.
Inside the house, guests have access to a fitness room equipped with a power plate, sauna, and a billiard lounge. Additionally, there is an impressive indoor heated pool located in the old basement.
This charming "bastide" is situated in the picturesque region of Provence in the South of France. It is located near the beautiful and protected environment of "la plaine des Maures" and is within close proximity to both the French Riviera and the scenic and untamed countryside of "le haut Var".
