Description for B&B:

St. Jeanvrin is a charming little town located in the southern region of Bourges, Cher, which happens to be the ancestral home of the family. The house was given its name as a tribute to our family's deep-rooted heritage.

The name "Jeanvrin" is a local variation of the name "Januarius." This name is associated with St. Januarius, a revered figure from Naples who was a bishop and martyr in the year 305. He is one of the fifty patrons chosen by the people of Naples. Throughout history, St. Januarius has been known for his miraculous protection against various calamities. For instance, he safeguarded the people of Naples from the plague in 1497, 1631, 1698, 1767, and 1779, and prevented the destruction that could have resulted from the eruption of Vesuvius.

One of the most well-known miracles associated with St. Januarius is the phenomenon of his blood, which solidifies but then transforms into a liquid state three times a year. This remarkable event has been occurring for over 600 years and takes place in the Cathedral of Naples.
