Description for B&B:
Our guesthouse is situated at 13 rue Darnel, right behind the Calais theater. The street is lined with stunning early twentieth-century mansions, and our house is one of the two with semi-detached doors dating back to 1901. The attic features oeil-de-boeuf windows, giving it a charming bourgeois look.Located in the heart of Calais center, our neighborhood lies on the Calais-Nord axis, connected by rue Royale. This avenue leads to the vibrant Place d'Armes, where you can find a variety of restaurants and shops (a 16-minute walk away). Exploring the area on foot will allow you to easily access all of Calais' attractions, including the theater (1 minute), the market on Place Crève-Coeur (9 minutes), the town hall and its belfry (12 minutes), and the beach and the dragon (34 minutes).
If you arrive by train, you'll find three stations within a 15-minute drive. The Calais-Fréthun station, which serves the Eurostar and TGV, is located 7.5 km away (a 13-minute drive). The Calais-Ville and Fontinettes stations are also conveniently close, with a walking distance of 12 minutes (5 minutes by car).
For those who prefer cycling, we offer a VÉLIN bike share loan service, conveniently located next to the theater (a 2-minute walk away). Additionally, the bus station is located right in front of our guesthouse. Calais buses are free, so take advantage of this convenient transportation option!
Your hosts, Nathalie, Laurent, their daughters, and their four cats, will warmly welcome you upon arrival. They will be delighted to offer you a refreshing or hot drink.
