For your well-being and a budget-friendly holiday, come enjoy the nearby family ski resorts (CHALMAZEL Prabouré or) with downhill skiing (10 slopes) or cross-country skiing (200km of linked slopes). Take beautiful snowshoe hikes (equipment provided) with a guide, go dog sledding (COL COL OF OR THE BEAL Supeyres), or enjoy sledding around the cottage. There are also 5 guided walks from 1 to 4 hours that you can enjoy without needing a car.
The cottage is located near the Chalmazel ski resort in the Loire region (altitude 1600m) with 10 slopes, 100 snow cannons, a big acrobatic bag, and a well-being center. It is also close to the Nordic ski area "Peaks of Drill" including Prabouré (1300m, 7 downhill slopes, and 100 cannons) and two other cross-country ski resorts, Pradeaux (1100m) and Supeyres (1400m), all connected. You can check the snow conditions on their respective websites.
Our "Gite Farm" is surrounded by forests in a green setting, located in the heart of the Livradois-Forez Regional Park. It offers comfortable and eco-friendly accommodation with sleeping arrangements for up to 19 people, including 3 baby beds. Perfect for families, groups of friends, or those seeking a peaceful and authentic holiday experience.
The cottage has been renovated using ecological materials and offers various games and activities for both children and adults. It is ideal for parents as the interior courtyard and play area are enclosed and secure. Meals can be enjoyed outside on tables near the play area for easy supervision.

The cottage is conveniently located at the crossroads of several cities, just 15 minutes from Ambert, 50 minutes from God Chair, 40 minutes from Thiers (European capital of knives), 1 hour from the volcanic hills and Clermont Ferrand, and 1.5 hours from the spa town of Vichy.
Facing southeast, the authentic 19th-century farmhouse and stone farm building offer a cozy and rustic atmosphere. It is surrounded by greenery and offers stunning views of the mountains and the Col du Béal and Supeyres. You can enjoy the tranquility and beauty of nature, with cows, donkeys, and draft horses in the nearby meadows.
The house consists of 190m2 on the ground floor with a laundry room, a spacious living room with an open kitchen, and a wood stove for heating. On the first floor, there is a large bathroom and several bedrooms with various sleeping arrangements. The attic on the second floor offers a panoramic view and additional sleeping space. The cottage is equipped with various amenities including kitchen appliances, baby equipment, and games.
Outside, there are plenty of green spaces and activities for children, including a large grassed area with games, swings, slides, hammocks, and sports equipment. There is also a petanque court, basketball hoop, and table tennis area. Outdoor dining can be enjoyed on the garden tables with umbrellas, and there is ample parking space.
Please note that linen is not provided, so guests will need to bring their own sheets, towels, and other linens.

To reach Faye from D65 Ambert, head towards Bertignat (11km) and take a right before reaching the Bertignat sign.
If you are coming from Thiers on 906, continue until you reach Vertolaye exit and turn right towards Bertignat (7km). Once in Bertignat village, take a left at the intersection towards Ambert, and then turn left at the Bertignat sign to reach Faye.
