Nestled in the heart of the Cévennes and Ardèche Regional Natural Park of Monts d'Ardèche, discover a tranquil country cottage located at an elevation of 640 meters above sea level. Situated in the charming village of Aizac amidst picturesque chestnut groves, this cottage offers a peaceful escape.

Enjoy breathtaking views from Aizac Pass, overlooking the valleys of Volane in the East and Besorgues in the West. Embark on numerous hiking trails to explore the region's young volcanoes, including the famous Cup of Volcano Aizac, which has stood for over 80,000 years.

For outdoor enthusiasts, this area offers a variety of activities such as fishing, climbing, mountain biking, canyoning, and refreshing swimming spots. Tennis, kayaking, and, of course, hiking are also popular sports in the area.

The comfortable cottage on the ground floor can accommodate up to 4 people. It features one bedroom with a double bed and two bunk beds, and a living room with a sofa bed and television. The fully equipped kitchen includes a refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and oven. The bathroom offers a shower, sink, and toilet. Pets are welcome with prior agreement for an additional fee of 15€.

Should you desire, we can provide breakfast and even prepare a picnic for your excursions.

Situated at an altitude of 640m, surrounded by chestnut trees, you'll be captivated by the breathtaking views of the Volane and Besorgues valleys from Aizac Pass.

Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Ardèche region as you explore the hiking trails that wind through the area's young volcanoes. Marvel at the impressive Cup of Volcano Aizac, which has stood for 80,000 years, overlooking the village and its humble inhabitants. For the adventurous at heart, enjoy activities such as fishing, climbing, mountain biking, canyoning, swimming, tennis, kayaking, and, of course, hiking.

Our comfortable cottage on the ground floor can accommodate 2 to 6 guests. The cozy space features one bedroom with a double bed and two bunk beds, as well as a living room with a sofa bed and TV. The fully equipped kitchen includes a fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and oven. A bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet completes the amenities. Outside, a terrace awaits you, perfect for enjoying the surrounding nature. Pets are welcome to join you on your retreat.

To enhance your stay, we offer the option of serving you breakfast or preparing a picnic for your hiking adventures. Our rates vary depending on the season, with high season (June 29th - August 31st) priced at €500 per week, mid-season (May, June, September, and school holidays) at €300 per week, and low season at €200 per week. Weekend rates are €200 in mid-season and €160 in low season. Additionally, we offer a discount of 10% for two consecutive weeks and 15% for three consecutive weeks. Rest assured, our cottage is open all year round.

Directions

To reach VALS LES BAINS, which is located 10 km north of AUBENAS, follow the directions towards "The Cheylard" and "Antraigues Volane." Upon reaching Vals les Bains, avoid taking the D 243 road on the left, which leads to Aizac. Instead, continue on the D 578 road that will lead you through the Volane valley. Along this road, you may notice impressive basaltic flows from the Aizac volcano. After passing through several small villages, you will reach Antraigues. Do not enter this charming village, but take the first left road towards AIZAC. This road will take you to the Col d'Aizac, situated at an altitude of 642 m. Here, you will find our guest houses right in front of you. Our GPS coordinates are Latitude N: 44.71,397 or 44° 42'50" E, and Longitude: 4.32 986 or 4 19'47".
