Whether you enjoy climbing, canyoning, caving, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, skiing, tobogganing, snowshoeing, sleigh rides, cani-hiking, visiting caves and castles, or indulging in balneotherapy, there is something for everyone here. I will be sure to provide you with all the necessary information about these exciting opportunities!Situated on the banks of the Saleix, our location benefits from a pleasant and cool temperature during the summer months. The gentle sound of the flowing stream adds to the serene atmosphere, allowing you to leave behind the hustle and bustle of everyday life and truly relax during your vacation.
While there are many car parks available near the house, the cottage can also be easily accessed by a short walk through the charming, old stone streets of the historic district known as "Le Barri." This name originates from the fortified walls that once surrounded this part of the town. The absence of cars in the immediate vicinity makes our cottage particularly suitable for families with children or anyone seeking a peaceful and tranquil environment.
Numerous activities are just a short distance away from the lodge. The village is well-known for being the starting point of various hiking routes and is conveniently located near the GR10, a renowned hiking trail that stretches across France from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean coast, following the Pyrenees mountain range.

Located on the first floor, this charming gite offers a cozy living room complete with a television. Additionally, this floor features a serene single bedroom that offers picturesque views of the mountains and the tranquil stream that flows in front of the house.Moving up to the second floor via the staircase, you will find another single bedroom that offers a comfortable stay. Adjacent to this room, you will discover a well-appointed shower/bathroom.
To the front of the house, you will be delighted by the double bedroom that boasts a balcony. From this vantage point, you can bask in the breathtaking views of the valley, as well as its surrounding hills and mountains.
Outside the house, a terrace awaits you. Equipped with a table, bench, parasol, and barbecue, this outdoor space is perfect for enjoying meals al fresco. The proximity to the nearby creek ensures a tranquil ambiance, providing a refreshing escape from the summer heat.
For nature enthusiasts, a short climb up the steps next to the house will lead you to the forest tracks. From here, you can embark on various scenic walks throughout the valley, exploring its captivating beauty.

Located in the charming historic area of Auzat village, the Gite du Rocher can be found in the picturesque valley of Vicdessos, right at the base of the magnificent Montcalm mountain, which stands as the highest peak in Ariège at an impressive altitude of 3050 meters.
Accessing the gîte is a breeze by car, and it is only a 20-minute drive away from the closest train station, Tarascon-sur-Ariége. Additionally, we offer the convenience of arranging a pick-up service from the train station.
