Description for B&B:
Located just 10 minutes from the charming city of painters, Pont-Aven, and a short 15-minute drive from the beautiful beaches, Kerbeleg B&B is a hidden gem. Nestled in a tranquil setting, this magnificent 15th century stone house is surrounded by a sprawling 2-hectare park. With a rich history dating back to the 15th century, this historic dwelling was originally built using stones from a castle, and over the years, it has transformed from a manor house to a farm, and now, a cozy B&B. Your hostess, a history enthusiast, will be delighted to share her knowledge and provide you with a book containing recent research on the site's fascinating past, available in each room.
The B&B offers two spacious and comfortable bedrooms, meticulously renovated to maintain the house's authentic character. Each room boasts a picturesque view of the park, bathed in sunlight.
The owner, with the help of skilled local craftsmen, has tastefully redesigned Kerbeleg, creating a farmhouse that exudes charm and elegance. The layout revolves around a grand cathedral lounge with a magnificent fireplace, perfect for relaxing and reading. Adjoining the lounge is a billiard room and a spacious living room adorned with stone floors and exposed beams.
A majestic stone staircase leads from the billiard room to the bedrooms, each equipped with its own shower room. The separate WC is conveniently located on the landing.
The BIRDS room showcases a large original granite fireplace and includes a small adjoining bedroom for two children. Les OURS offers a breathtaking view of the park, while La Maison à PAIN, the former bread oven of the estate, will soon be transformed into a charming room for a couple, complete with a mezzanine that can accommodate one or two additional children.
Adjacent to the living room, behind another impressive fireplace, you'll find the kitchen, perfect for indulging in gourmet delights. Modernized and equipped with a large solid wood monastery table, it is an inviting space for breakfast.
For leisure activities, there is a dedicated room with a library, table football, and a card table. On those less sunny days or after a long hike, you can unwind in the tranquil ambiance of this space.
When the weather permits, meals can be enjoyed on the terrace overlooking the park. If you're an early riser, keep an eye out for deer, pheasants, and other wildlife that may grace the surroundings with their presence.
Conveniently located less than 10 minutes from the motorway, Kerbeleg offers easy access to the peaceful countryside and serves as a great base for exploring the region's cultural and tourist attractions.
