Welcome to Carpe Diem, a charming guest house located in the heart of Yonne in Burgundy, near Avallon. This former 18th and 19th century farm invites you to experience the beauty of the region.Nestled in the small village of Massangis, known for its historic stone quarry and tranquil river Serein, Carpe Diem offers a unique setting. The renowned Massangis stone has been used in iconic structures around the world, including the Eiffel Tower, Abbey of Fontenay, Grand Louvre, Musée d'Orsay, Opera Garnier, MET of New York, and Ebisu Garden Place in Tokyo.
Our guest house features 5 beautifully decorated bedrooms, each exuding a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The larger rooms boast king size beds, while all rooms offer the choice of an Italian shower or Island bath for your comfort.
The property also offers an enclosed garden and courtyard, providing a secure place to park your car.
Start your day with a delicious breakfast, included with your stay. Additionally, we offer dinner at our table d'hôtes every night, except on Thursdays. Please make sure to book in advance to secure your spot.
