The traditional farmhouse, constructed in 1802, has been tastefully renovated while preserving its original features. It is located in the quiet hamlet of Chignat, surrounded by expansive gardens and barns. The beautifully landscaped grounds span 2 hectares and feature magnificent trees, flowering shrubs, well-maintained lawns, meadows, and a productive vegetable garden.The accommodation offers five bedrooms, including a double room, a family room, two twin rooms, and a single room. Bernie, a professional cook, prepares exquisite 5-star, 4-course meals for the evenings. Ingredients used are primarily organic and sourced locally or from our own vegetable garden. Breakfast, which is included in the room tariff, provides a delightful start to the day with a variety of options such as fruit juice, cereal, organic muesli, fresh fruit, yogurt, croissants, homemade bread, conserves, porridge during colder weather, and plenty of coffee.
Our small campsite spans 5 acres of gently sloping meadow, offering 25 pitches. It boasts a diverse array of mature trees, shrubs, and abundant birdlife, making it an ideal spot for birdwatching (don't forget to bring your binoculars!). Six caravans/camping cars can benefit from electric hook-ups, while we also offer the rental of two fully equipped, spacious trailer tents. Our sanitary facilities are top-notch, including a disabled shower and toilet. We have implemented a reed bed system for waste water and have a comprehensive recycling policy in place. One of our barns has been converted into a games room, and guests have access to a fridge and a washing machine.

Directions
To locate Chignat, it's important to note that it is consistently spelled as Chignal on maps for reasons unknown. Upon reaching Bourganeuf, you will encounter a single roundabout. From there, proceed onto the D37, and subsequently onto the D8 towards Lac de Vassivière. Continue on this road for approximately 3 kilometers, and keep an eye out for our blue signs that will guide you to turn left. Simply follow these signs to reach Chignat, and you will easily identify our property by its distinct gates.
