Located on the southern foothills of the Vosges, where the mille-étangs ("thousand ponds") high plateau begins and the water flows towards the Mediterranean Sea, you will find our secluded historic farm, La Petite Rosière. Situated just above the commune of La Rosière, our farm is tucked away at the end of a small road, ensuring peace and tranquility with no traffic in sight. The surrounding landscape offers endless opportunities for exploration, with forest and meadow paths perfect for short walks or long hikes. The farmhouse, along with the old bakehouse and the charming "tourelle," form a picturesque ensemble. Adjacent to the property, a sprawling orchard gently slopes down to a serene bathing lake, nestled against a magnificent rock formation. Beyond the lake lies an enchanting deciduous forest, adorned with moss-covered rocks and ancient trees, leading to breathtaking viewpoints and magical spots. Above the house, farm, and lake, lies the spring meadow, once connected to the outside world by an old donkey path. The water that nourishes our house originates from the depths of this meadow, which we now utilize for cultivating vegetables and potatoes. Whether it be by the pond, on the forest's edge, atop the rocks, or amidst the blooming natural meadows, surrounded by a diverse array of beeches, oaks, birches, and ash trees, you will find countless places to immerse yourself in the serenity and beauty of nature.
