Description for B&B:
Our accommodations are tastefully furnished and consist of two self-contained studio apartments. Each apartment features a luxurious king-size bed, ensuite shower room, small kitchen, and breakfast room. The kitchens are equipped for light snacks, warming up food for children, making lunch packs, and preparing dinner.Due to the COVID pandemic, we are unable to provide breakfast or evening meals at this time. As a result, the studios are rented on a Gite basis or self-catering, and the price has been adjusted accordingly. We warmly welcome dogs, and our guest rooms open directly onto a large garden where you can relax. There is also a picnic and barbecue area available, along with sunbeds.
We have an adorable and friendly Border Collie named Freddie, who is loved by all our guests and visiting dogs. He is well-behaved and socialized with people, including small children and other dogs. Additionally, we have a new addition to our family, Loupie, an equally adorable and well-behaved German Spitz who is 18 months old.
In addition to our comfortable accommodations, we offer amenities such as Freeview TV with both English and French channels, free internet/WiFi, boules, a fridge freezer, microwave, cooker, and hairdryer. Guests may also request the use of a washing machine and dryer.
Our bed and breakfast is located in a rural area, providing a unique opportunity to explore the richness of our region, taste the local products, and meet the friendly locals. The Calvados region, beyond its beautiful coastal areas, offers diverse landscapes, architecture, and numerous tourist sites. From the historic Bessin area of the D-Day Landings to the picturesque valleys of La Suisse Normande, there is much to discover.
The surrounding areas, such as Bocage Virois and Pays de Falaise, offer opportunities for activities like walking, fishing, motorbiking, cycling, climbing, canoeing, paragliding, golfing, and fishing. There are also plenty of marked and unmarked walking trails, including the popular Roche d'Oëtre.
Nearby towns such as Thury Harcourt, Clecy, Le Vey, and Bagnole de l'Orne are worth visiting for their charm and attractions. The castle at Carrouges is just a short drive away. Whether you are interested in history or nature, our location provides a perfect base for exploring the region.
At La Ferme Bed & Breakfast, you can expect a luxurious, comfortable, and memorable stay in a tranquil and peaceful setting. The only sounds you will hear are the birds singing. During your visit, you can also enjoy the beautiful display of dahlias on the terraces, providing constant beauty and the option to have fresh cut flowers from July until the first frost.
We provide tourist information leaflets, maps, and recommended routes to help you make the most of your stay. Please note that we have a strict no-smoking policy. While our current accommodation does not have wheelchair facilities due to the age and structure of the house, it is conveniently located on the garden/parking level for those who may have difficulties with stairs. Parking is available directly in front of the door.
