The "Clos" was originally part of the ancient woods known as "Bois Bard" and was once owned by M. Fouquet, the financial minister of Louis the 14th, King of France. In the 19th Century, the second and third floors were added, creating a unique blend of history and modern amenities.

Notably, the esteemed author Honoré De Balzac was a frequent guest of the owner in the 19th Century.
