Description for B&B:

La Souqueto, named after the vines that provide shade to both the front and back of the house, is a beautifully restored and renovated Maison Bourgeoise. The interior is thoughtfully decorated and furnished with a blend of old and new elements. Situated on the outskirts of the village, guests can enjoy the soothing sounds and sights of the nearby river while also being in the heart of the medieval center.

The atmosphere at La Souqueto is warm and welcoming, offering plenty to indulge the mind, body, and senses. In addition to freshly brewed coffee, tea, croissants, breads, conserves, and fresh fruit, breakfast often includes a delightful seasonal treat such as a tart, layered yogurt and fruit cup, or a cake. The house is adorned with captivating decor and artifacts, and features libraries and a spacious, bright artist's studio, providing ample artistic inspiration. There is also a roof terrace and small patio for private relaxation. The rooms are charmingly decorated and equipped with toiletries, hairdryers, and plush towels. If there is anything else you may need, simply ask and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Evening meals can be arranged upon request, and there are two restaurants within walking distance, with one located almost next door and another by the river. The village itself offers various recreational activities such as swimming, petanque, tennis, fishing, and horseback riding.

Ideally situated in a picturesque Minervois village between Carcassonne and Béziers, La Souqueto serves as an excellent base for exploring the central Languedoc-Roussillon region. Within an hour's reach, guests can discover medieval villages, ancient towns and cities, Cathar strongholds, the enchanting Canal du Midi, inviting Mediterranean beaches, and the untamed beauty of the Black Mountains. For those interested, we also offer art workshops, cookery courses, and language lessons at La Souqueto. Contact us for more information.
