Description:

Description for Gite

Welcome to Villa du Parc, a historic manor constructed in the thirties that has been transformed into a collection of charming self-catered holiday apartments and two B & B accommodations. Situated near the center of Prades, between the magnificent Mediterranean Sea and the picturesque ski slopes of the Pyrenees, our location offers a truly unique experience.

Inside the manor, you will find a cozy chimney lounge with comfortable easy chairs, a free internet connection, games, books, magazines, and a video beamer. Additionally, there is a dining room and a terrace where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. For your convenience, we also offer a large underground garage where you can store and work on your bikes, skis, and other equipment.

The grounds surrounding the manor span 8000 square meters (over three acres) and are adorned with century-old trees, providing stunning views of the Pyrenees. On the property, you will find a swimming pool, sauna, and jacuzzi, as well as deck chairs and other seating areas. There is also a barbecue and a playground for children. Despite its tranquil setting, the property is conveniently located on the outskirts of Prades, allowing you to walk to the town center in just ten minutes. There, you can explore restaurants, cinemas, concerts, shops, and the weekly market.

Thanks to Prades' exceptional location, you can indulge in a wide range of holiday activities. Within a forty-five-minute drive, you can soak up the sun on the beach or go hiking or skiing at altitudes of over two-thousand meters (about seven thousand feet). The region also offers opportunities for rock-climbing, spelunking, canyoning, white-water kayaking, and paragliding, with many of these activities available year-round due to our Mediterranean climate. Additionally, you can embark on a scenic journey on the "yellow train," a narrow gauge railway that traverses a picturesque valley and ascends to the high plateau of the nearby mountains.

For those interested in local culture, there are various attractions to explore, including the fortresses designed by Vauban, the castles of the Catharists, the Dali museum or house, the Casals festival, and numerous beautiful abbeys.

With the diversity our region offers, we guarantee an unforgettable vacation experience at Villa du Parc.
