Welcome to our 3-star gite in Ardèche! The Ardèche Préfecture has recognized our gite with the approval number N° 2005-200-12 (19/07/2005). Situated 550 meters above sea level, on a lush mountain slope overlooking the Beaume valley and the magnificent Tanargue massif (1549 m), the hamlet of Le Monteil is a perfect retreat for relaxation and rejuvenation. You'll appreciate the traditional charm of the surroundings, the breathtaking landscapes, and the warm hospitality of the locals. Our house is steeped in history, dating back to 1490, and showcases the typical architecture of Ardèche. After years of meticulous renovation, we are proud to offer a comfortable and inviting home where we love to spend time.

Originally consisting of two "wings," we transformed the main part of the house into a family holiday home. The remaining section, which used to be a silkworm rearing-house (Magnanerie) from the same period, was later renovated into an independent and welcoming gite that is sure to delight you. Our gite comfortably accommodates up to 4 people, with the option of a baby or toddler. You'll enjoy modern comforts alongside the original stone walls. Spanning two levels and covering 85 m², the gite features a spacious living area with a fully-equipped open-plan kitchen, a bathroom with bath, shower attachment, and wash-basin, as well as a separate toilet. Upstairs, you'll find two double bedrooms with wash-basins, separated by a landing.

The gite has its own separate entrance through large French doors, leading to a terrace and an alley. The pink sandstone tiles throughout the ground floor and first floor are not only practical but also easy to maintain. Electric underground heating in the kitchen and lounge, electric convectors in each bedroom, and a fan heater in the bathroom ensure your comfort. Double-glazed doors and windows with aluminum frames provide excellent insulation during winter and a pleasant coolness in summer. Additionally, a mechanical ventilation system keeps the gite well-aired with vents in the toilet, bathroom, kitchen, and above each bedroom's wash-basin. Please note that pets are not allowed.

Our prices vary depending on the season: high season (July and August) is 700 EUR per week, mid-season (June and September) is 470 EUR per week, and low season (October to May) is 350 EUR per week. To secure your booking, we require a 25% deposit, and upon arrival, we request a 300 EUR deposit cheque to cover any potential damages.

We provide various services as part of the rental price, including electricity and water bills. All bed linen, dishcloths, and towels for four people are also included. We offer basic equipment for babies or toddlers free of charge, such as a cot, high chair, pram, and bath. Other amenities at the property include a color satellite TV, DVD player, barbecue, and garden furniture.

For an additional fee of 50 EUR, we can take care of the cleaning at the end of your stay. During the winter months, there is an extra charge of 25 EUR per week for electric heating. Parking is available approximately 150 meters from the gite, but you can temporarily park just 25 meters away for unloading purposes.
