Located near the charming medieval city of Mirepoix, Montségur, and the Pyrenees, lOUSTAL AUX HIRONDELLES is the perfect base for exploring the Cathar Pyrenees. Nestled in a peaceful Ariège hamlet, this simple yet comfortable cottage is part of an old farmhouse.

With approximately 140m² of space, the cottage features a spacious living room-kitchen of around 30m², four bedrooms with a total of 140 beds, a bathroom, an outdoor courtyard, and covered parking for vehicles. Just a 5-minute walk from the village, you'll find an artisanal bakery with a grocery store and newspapers. Additionally, the river is only 100m away.

We offer a warm welcome from April to the end of October, and our rates vary depending on the number of rooms occupied. For up to 2 bedrooms, the rate is 300€ per week. For 3 bedrooms, it is 400€ per week, and for 4 bedrooms, it is 500€ per week (excluding tourist tax). For more detailed information, please visit our website "OUSTAL AUX HIRONDELLES".

The cottage's functional layout combines simplicity with modern comfort, offering amenities such as a TV, dishwasher, washing machine, conventional and microwave ovens, and more. Outside, there is a large fenced space where you can dine al fresco and a covered area to store your vehicle.

In general, our farmhouse provides a comfortable and peaceful retreat near the Ariège Cathar Pyrenees, surrounded by forests, mountains, history, and prehistory. Mirepoix, with its shops and services, is just 10km away. Within a 50km radius, you'll find a wide range of activities and attractions to enjoy, regardless of the weather. These include cultural and sports activities, as well as natural, medieval, and prehistoric sites.

The nearby towns of Lavelanet, Pamiers, Foix, Tarascon, Carcassonne, St Girons, St Lizier, and Toulouse offer additional exploration opportunities. And if you're up for a longer trip, Andorra is just 1 hour and 30 minutes away, while the sea and Spain are 2 hours away.

In terms of activities and leisure, Ariège offers something for everyone. From natural sites and museums to local gastronomy and various outdoor pursuits, there are countless options to entertain both young and old. The cottage is conveniently located near attractions such as the medieval city of Mirepoix, its cathedral, the Rock Church of Vals, the Merovingian archaeological site of Tabariane, Pamiers, and the city of Gabriel Fauré. There are also numerous sites within a 30-minute drive, including the fortified village of Camon with its 400 rosebushes, Montbel Lake, the Castle of Foix, caves, the underground river of Labouiche, a prehistory park, and hiking trails suitable for all levels. Fishing is also possible in the nearby river or lake.
