Description:

Description for B&B:

Mas de Garrigue is a remarkable historic house, originally a hunting lodge and fortified farm dating back to the 15th century. It boasts a plethora of original features, including grand stone fireplaces, arrowslits, a 15th century window, stone sinks, magnificent oak beams, and charming pigeon coops.

With great care and respect, Sarah and Steven have meticulously restored this enchanting house, adding their own touch of elegance and occasional contemporary flair. The blend of Irish antiques and art with the French architectural style creates a harmonious and captivating atmosphere.

Nestled in the picturesque Midi Pyrenees region of South West France, Sarah and Steven warmly welcome guests with their renowned Irish hospitality. Sarah's culinary expertise, honed in Paris, and Steven's roots in the esteemed Irish culinary and hospitable Allen clan, ensure an unforgettable dining experience. Their passion for food and wine shines through in their sumptuous dinners, featuring homegrown and locally sourced ingredients. Each year, Steve raises two "Noir de Gascon" pigs, which Sarah skillfully transforms into delectable terrines, pates, saucisse, and hams. Additionally, Steven diligently tends to the kitchen garden, ensuring a constant supply of fresh vegetables, tomatoes, herbs, and even saffron.
