Description for B&B:
Villa du Parc is a manor that was built in the 1930s, showcasing the charming "Basque style" architecture. Today, it houses several holiday apartments that are available for weekly or short-term rentals, including a bed and breakfast option. These apartments vary in size and can accommodate between two to four individuals. The property also features a spacious hall with a cozy fireplace and comfortable chairs, offering a perfect space to relax. Additionally, guests can enjoy complimentary internet access, as well as a selection of games, books, magazines, and a video projector. Furthermore, there is a large underground garage where guests can securely store and work on their bikes, skis, and other equipment.
Surrounding the manor is a sprawling 8000 square meter (over three acres) estate, adorned with century-old trees and boasting breathtaking views of the Pyrenees. The property offers various amenities, such as a swimming pool, sauna, and jacuzzi. Guests can also find deck chairs and other seating options, a barbecue area, and a playground for children. Located on the outskirts of Prades, home to the Casals festival, the manor is conveniently just a ten-minute walk from the town center, where guests can indulge in restaurants, cinemas, concerts, shops, and a weekly market.
Thanks to Prades' exceptional location, guests can partake in their favorite holiday activities. Within a mere forty-five minutes, one can either bask in the sun on the beach or hike and ski at elevations exceeding two thousand meters (around seven thousand feet). The region also provides opportunities for rock climbing, spelunking, canyoning, white-water kayaking, and paragliding, which can be enjoyed throughout the year due to the Mediterranean climate. For a unique experience, guests can take a ride on the "yellow train," a narrow-gauge railway that traverses a narrow valley and ascends to the high plateau of the nearby mountains.
Culture enthusiasts can explore the local heritage by visiting Vauban-designed fortresses, Catharist castles, the Dali museum or house, the Casals festival, or any of the beautiful abbeys in the area.
The diversity of our region offers endless possibilities for an unforgettable vacation, making it almost a guarantee!
